My Favourite Etsy Shops

Today I would like to share with you my favourite Etsy Shops. We all have different tastes and maybe this will give you a little more insight into me and the things I like. I am an Etsy affiliate which means my links may earn me commission if you click through and buy something. It won’t cost you any more though, isn’t that great? I love being an Etsy Affiliate, it’s a wonderful magical place of things to find and there is something for everyone. Most of it is home made and by using Etsy you are supporting small businesses which is a lovely thing to do, especially in these difficult times.

So, let me share with you some Etsy Magic.

Here are my current favourite shops on Etsy, I’m adding to them all the time. I also have favourite lists of items. It’s good to be able to keep the things your love in places easy to find.

Jewellery

When I was 12 years old my Mum bought me a silver necklace for my birthday. I remember it was a Dusty Bin necklace from the gameshow 321 which I loved. I wish I’d kept it, I bet they are pretty rare now! It started my love of jewellery, I had my ears pierced when I was 13 and since then I’ve collected a lot of lovely items. I do love handmade jewellery though, especially things made with glass or crystals. Here are a few of my favourites.

Leaf Ear rings

Crystals

I love crystals and I have been collecting them for 30 years! Here are a few Crystal Items I’ve added to my favourite things.

Bracelet

I already have bracelets from Love Light and Harmony but I definitely wish to add to my collection.

Candle Holders

I love candles, but I also love the adorable candle holders you can buy on Etsy.

I hope I have given you some inspiration and encouraged you to pop on over to Etsy to see what you can find.

My Chronically Ill Gift List

This is my chronically ill gift list that I’ve put together to give people ideas of the type of gifts that people who are ill may appreciate.

I suffer from chronic pain in my back and legs, I hurt when cold, I am a wheelchair user and I don’t get out of my home a lot because of my condition. So here are the things I would love the most.

Something to Wear

Clothing is always a good gift, if you don’t want to worry to much about sizing then I’m pretty sure that scarves, gloves and socks are a good idea. If you have some idea of size then a nice pair of pyjamas or a dressing gown. Slippers are also a good buy if you have some idea of the shoe size. Although with slippers you can generally get away with Small, Medium or Large. I get through about five pairs of slippers a year, so they would be very welcome.

I have very cold feet so I’m always happy with socks or slipper socks, the brighter the better. I love these slipper socks from The Sock Shop

Hobbies

If you know a person’s hobby then buying them anything they can use will be a big bonus and I’m sure they will love it. This can be anything from paint, pens, pads, craft supplies, or if you are buying for me then wool. I can’t get enough of the stuff, ask my family! Better still, buy wool with a pattern to crochet or knit, like this lovely blanket from Deramores.

Pill Organiser

Someone who needs a lot of medication will need to keep it organized. I would love something like these pill organisers from Etsy to keep my medication safe and ready to take.

Books and Magazines

Reading is a great way of chilling out, whether you are just getting ingrossed in a novel or learning something new. There are so many books to please just about everyone. Try the gift finder at Waterstones.

If you can’t think of a book they would like then how about a magazine subscription. They make a great gift and you can buy a six or twelve month subscription. I love my crochet magazine subscription but I’ve also enjoyed cookery magazines, and I know plenty that would love the new Seven Worlds One Planet magazines.

Candles

There is nothing I like more than having a candle burning while at home. It makes the room smell nice and helps to make me feel relaxed. At Candles Direct they have a huge assortment of lovely candles, including Yankee candles. They also have some lovely gifts including bath and body products and vegan friendly gifts.

Mindfulness Gifts

A lot of chronically ill people turn to mindfulness to help them. It may be that they enjoy mediation or yoga, or colouring books. LSW Mind Cards are a new product which are designed to make you become more mindful. Each day select a card at random and take the action stated on the card. Building the habit of making positive choices each day will help you lead a more fulfilling and happier life. The box is attractive and would make a lovely gift.

I hope you have enjoyed my little gift guide and that it has given you some ideas for gifts for that person you may know that is suffering from a chronic illness, or even a temporary illness. We all need a little pampering sometimes.

Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links which will cost you nothing to click but may earn me some money if you click through and purchase something. Thank you and Merry Christmas.

My New Venture – I’m an Avon Representative

I was an Avon representative in my old area. I loved it. I would take the kids out with my books packed in a bag on the bag of the Little Man’s pram and the girls would happily help me post my books. I had a lovely set of customers that I visited regularly.

Then we moved house and I didn’t take my business with me, I just gave up on it. My new home was in a building site and I didn’t think it was the right place to start canvassing.

Starting Again

The other day a lady knocked on my door and I decided to sign up with Avon again. What was I thinking, I can’t even walk now and I don’t get very far visiting houses in my wheelchair without help. But: you can now take orders online from any area and the good can be posted direct to the customer.

So, I have my very own Avon Website with an online shop.

Please do take a look if you have a moment, it would make me really happy if you placed an order. Delivery to your home is £3.50 and free if you order over £30…but look out for special offers too. At the moment, if you order before 18th July you can get your delivery for free when you spend just £20. Also, if you buy 3 Skin So Soft Dry Oil items you can get free delivery with the code DRYOIL.

Facebook

I also have my own Facebook Page which anyone can join. Please do as I hope to bring you lots of interesting tips and ideas as well as competitions and giveaways!

It’s so great that you can take orders from absolutely anywhere in the UK now. When I was a representative before I could only take orders from people I could deliver too physically. Of course if you are local I can still do that, and I will be. The neighbours all have brochures through their door that my husband will collect for me.

Avon.

Of course, I wouldn’t be working for Avon if I didn’t believe in their products. I’m not a great make-up user but the little make up I have is from Avon and I’m really please with it. I do try to look after my skin, so moisturers and masks are a favourite of mine. I love the Skin So Soft Dry Oil collection and it has so many benefits. The perfumes are pretty special too. I can get samples of perfumes if anyone wants to smell before they buy. (If you would like a sample then please let me know in a message on my Facebook Page.)

They also do a great selection of hairbrushes. We have had ours for years and it’s time for some new ones. They also do vegan make-up brushes!

The shower gels are amazing, and as cheap or cheaper than the other brands. They also do some nice bubble bath.

You can also buy things for the home like storage boxes, diffusers, candles and even lunch boxes to name just a few.

Avon also sell clothing and have some great ranges to suit anyone, including shoes and pyjamas.

If accessorising is your thing then Avon also do a jewellery range and selection bags and scarfs and sunglasses.

With Summer upon us, don’t forget to stock up on your suncream and after sun lotion.

How Can You Help?

I’d love some support with my new venture, maybe you’d like to order something, or even just sign up to my Facebook Page. Or, share my page with your friends. I’d be most grateful as I’d really like this to work. Thank you in advance x
