I first tried CBD oil a few years ago, but I didn’t do much research and I wasn’t happy with the results. The second attempt was slightly better as the percentage was higher but so was the price. So you really need to shop around and find what works for you.

What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is an active ingredient in cannabis that is derived from the hemp plant, but it does not cause a high and is not addictive. As you can see it has many very good uses. It also comes it many forms, oil, capsules, gummies and even cosmetic products like soap, bath bombs, hair oil and even face cream.
When buying the oil you will find it comes in different strengths. What strength you buy depends on what you need it for. Sometimes having a chat with your GP will be useful. It is possible to get CBD oil on prescription but only in certain circumstances.
I started with a very low dose of 5%, this was cheap and although I felt a few effects, particular in stress levels, it didn’t really help much. So I tried 10% and managed to get some in peppermint flavour. This worked out a bit better but the cost is higher. My next step is to progress to the 30% as my needs are complex. I’ll have to let you know how I get on. At CBD Armour, you can get a voucher for your first purchase by signing up their newsletter.

I have tried regular and flavoured CBD and I did prefer the flavoured one. The oil is quite a strong flavour, but if you put it under your tongue you shouldn’t taste it too much. It will leave an after taste though. Some people tolerate the taste better than others. The taste didn’t bother me too much but the oily residue isn’t so pleasant. Thankfully, it doesn’t last too long. Just remember the good it doing for you and you won’t mind it so much.
I’ve never felt drowsy after using CBD oil but if it is a side effect then you can just take the oil at bedtime and it will aid your sleep! The CBD oil will not make you ‘high’ because it doesn’t contain the THC part of the plant.
