A Place to Read

Happy New Year Book Worms Monthly January

Welcome to Book Worms monthly January and Happy New Year. I hope you had a lovely Christmas holiday. I didn’t get much reading done. I did enjoy a couple of Terry Pratchett books which my son bought me for Christmas, but I’ve read them before. Do you read books that you’ve read before? I have to admit there are not many that I do, but if I find something I really enjoy I will read it again, like watching your favourite movie over and over.

Reading is my passion and I love to write about what I’ve read. I’m a real book worm and I have been since the day I could read. I decided to start this linky so that other book worms could Share. I’m starting monthly for now, so you have a whole month to link up your posts. You can link up to four posts, so that’s one a week. Or if you like you can link up some of your older posts.

Let’s share what we read and give other’s ideas what to read next. Tell me your reviews, you book reading lists, your author interviews, kids book favourites, Young Adult books, and even posts about your favourite authors. Anything book related is allowed and I can’t wait to read them all. I want to find all the book worms out there.

Here is last months linky to give you some idea of what book worms monthly is about. I’m trying to reach out to all the book worms out there to come and join me with their posts monthly. What books will you be reading this month?

Some of my favourites from last Month.

The Underbrothers from Mum of Three World

Monthly Wrap Up from Snapdragon Alcove

And What, What What from Cranethie

  1. Happy new year! I don’t read books I’ve read before. The only one I’ve read twice is Bridget Jones’ Diary, way back in the day.
Thank you very much for sharing my review and especially for picking my friend’s book.

    1. oooh I’ve read some books three or four times because I enjoyed them. Knowing what happens doesn’t really matter as you always notice something new. I hadn’t read one of my Christmas books since 20 years ago.

    1. I have devoured a few of the free books on Prime, but I have had a membership for many years. I remember when Amazon was a book site, I now get my milk and bread from them! (I’d much rather be able to walk to the corner shop but it’s not always possible for me. )

  2. Hello there, generally I’m not a rereader but I’m not saying I wouldn’t.
Now you’ve put the idea into my mind there ‘are’ a couple that spring to mind – Rebecca (Daphne du Maurier) plus The Good People (Hannah Kent). . will have to see if I can find copies.
Happy New Year – take care of yourself- and thanks for the link up

  3. Well, January is practically over, but Happy New Year! I do read books over again. Some are favorites that I can read over and over and never get tired of them, and sometimes I’ll read something again because I wonder if I’ll have a different reaction this time. I have also re-read earlier books in a series when I’m anticipating the newest one coming out and want to “get ready”. I’m re-reading a book right now that I remember enjoying a few years ago but I don’t remember any details. Thanks for hosting and happy reading!
