A Place to Read

Springing into Book Worms Monthly April link up

Welcome to this month’s book worms monthly link up April, where we share our reads for the month. The past few days we have seen a little bit of sunshine which is nice. I am hoping it just keeps getting better and warmer. I’ve been under a lot of stress lately and I think that makes me read even more. After changing book clubs my read was A Man Called Ove which I enjoyed. And I experienced my first online book club. I did miss going out and seeing people in person but the day had been stressful and I probably would not have gone anyway, so I’m glad I joined the online club. Our next book is Never Lie by Freida Mc Fadden. I’ll be reviewing it soon as I’m getting through it pretty quick.

Reading is my passion and I love to write about what I’ve read. I’m a real book worm and I have been since the day I could read. I decided to start this linky so that other book worms could Share. I’m starting monthly for now, so you have a whole month to link up your posts. You can link up to four posts, so that’s one a week. Or if you like you can link f up some of your older posts.

Let’s share what we read and give other’s ideas what to read next. Tell me your reviews, you book reading lists, your author interviews, kids book favourites, Young Adult books, and even posts about your favourite authors. Anything book related is allowed and I can’t wait to read them all. I want to find all the book worms out there.

Here is last months linky to give you some idea of what book worms monthly is about. I’m trying to reach out to all the book worms out there to come and join me with their posts monthly. What books will you be reading this month?

I’ll also come along and read and comment on your post. Please do share this link up with your friends. (I am trying to distance myself from X but I find that my links do still generate quite a lot of traffic so I’ll stick there for a while longer)

  1. I’m interested in how your online book club works. Is it via zoom or commenting on one person’s blog and then reacting to other people’s comments
Both of your reads are ones I haven’t read so will be jotting them down on my ever increasing ‘list’

    1. It’s via zoom and there were only 9 of us in the last one so it worked well, we had a co-ordinator who asked questions and chose who to answer them. But we were also allowed to chat too. If it gets bigger then it will be split into smaller groups and we will be rotated so we get to meet other people.

  2. Have you seen the movie A Man Called Otto? It’s based on the book A Man Called Ove, which I have not read but liked the movie. I’m interested in how they compare. I have read some of the author’s other books; they are all quite unconventional, to say the least.

    1. Yes, I love the movie, it’s much better than the book, it has much more emotion in it, despite it being Americanised even though obviously set in Sweden. I am a big fan of Tom Hanks though.
